Inspiring 5 May 2010
By J. Buss
Format:Paperback
I loved this easy to read, pick up anytime book. Looking for some inspiration about how I too, could embark on a more active artistic life, I bought this book. I didn't have expectations and I didn't think it would change me view about my life/art. It has. I can now say with confidence, that I am a 'working artist' instead of 'just an administrator'. With each page, I learnt step by step ideas about how to help myself understand how my art fits into my day to day life. As the previous review notes, I too believe it is a book I will pick up again and again.

I loved reading this book and I know I will go back to it over and over again. The reality of working a job and having a second life as an artist can be tricky and this books reminds you with good common sense the benefits of that day job. It also helps in the integration of your life.

I love this book and highly recommend it those with aspirations of making a dream life and happen and how to navigate the day job while you are on your way there even if that is forever!

ps. it also has helped as I work towards my dreams that it won't feel so perfect or how I imagined and that is completely normal.

Had high hopes for this book, but found it very mediocre compared with the books by Keri Smith. Didn't inspire me at all. Wouldn't recommend.
