These tree storage bags are big (dimensions of 120cm x 33 cm x 48 cm just do not seem to relay the cavernous size adequately). The bags are made of green polypropylene (feels pretty tough), with a zip up top and two handles to help move the bag around.
I have tended to keep artificial Christmas trees in the original box, which usually meant a lot of brute force and parcel tape required when it came to packing them away. Having bought a new, pre-lit, 7.5 ft tree this year, I realised this would no longer be viable. For one thing, I really struggled to even lift the box and the thought of heaving it into the attic for storage was not appealing. But there was also the issue of wishing to ensure the lights on the tree were not damaged (standing on the tree in the box is no longer an option when trying to close the flaps...).
These Gardman tree bags have provided a very good solution. I have got more than one bag so that I can store the heaviest base section separately to the rest; that ticks off the task of getting the tree into the attic without the assistance of a crane, as well as meaning I do not have to risk breaking the lights trying to force a large tree into a small space. I can also spread the load a little more in the attic - my new tree really does weigh a ton (okay, not literally a ton, but it is extremely heavy).
I have also got another bag to store some of my larger decorations and the combination means I will no longer waste black bags (which tear easily) just to store a few decorations every year.
