Though I enjoyed the first book in this series, I found it a bit cold. This one however was much better. The characters became more real, and the plot was more involving and a lot more fun.

Great for kids, and any adults who dont't mind suspending their disbelief for a while.

I read the first book on my Kindle app (on a Samsung Tab) as it is one of the BBC top 100 books to read. A bit sad I know, but I've been working my way through them and have read books that would have completely ignored in a book shop.

I downloaded this as soon as I finished the last 'page'. The charaters starts to build a little more in this book. This one includes the Russian Mafiya holding Artemis II for ransom. It builds a lot more on Butler and Commander Root. Both great tough guy characters. You also start to see a friendship developing between Holly and Artemis. He also becomes a little bit softer as the book progresses - much less out for himself. It also introduces a new villan in the shape of the pixie Opal Koboi. Mulch Diggums gets a bigger part in this book too - and is possibly my favorite character.

Another great read and makes me want to jump straight onto the next one in the series.
