I am a woman and this is hilarious!, 10 Feb 2012
This review is from: The Art of Fart: The Joy of Flatulence! (Kindle Edition)
I love this book! I will start by saying that I go against the grain, I am a female who finds farting hilarious! I tittered my way through this book and kept reading extracts out to my family whilst on holiday. True to form the men tittered like school boys and the woman all said "Ewwww" or "That's gross, why are you reading it?" Why am I reading it? Because finally someone isn't afraid to write about something that is fundamentally as amusing as watching someone fall over. The research that Dougie has invested in this book is well worth it, I mean who knew that Flatus is actually a gas that is in our blood! I always wondered where the word flatulence comes from and now I know. I have learnt many hints on tips on how to produce the most effective farts and when is the right time to brew one and when is not. The Guffidge Rating is invaluable, this is how I will now measure all my farts. The history was fascinating and it's the only history lesson I've enjoyed reading. Woman you need to admit that you fart, I strongly advise that you read this book and realise how fun farting can be!

The Art of Fart: The Joy of Flatulence, 2 Jan 2012
This review is from: The Art of Fart: The Joy of Flatulence! (Kindle Edition)
In this day and age of being the "Modern Man", being mindful of what you say lest you should inadvertently upset a group of people only for another set of people to get upset on their behalf its a refreshing change when you can literally step back in time and enjoy all the things that used to make you giggle as a kid, namely farting and the joy if it. This book brings the genre right back up to the present time with its comical take on a perfectly natural body function (that people need to lighten-up about in all honesty) so in this world of PC-madness it's great to be able to indulge in a little naughtiness and view the world from another angle. Read this during journeys to and from work and it's a good laugh - highly reccommend this book !!!!
