I bought this book on my return from a trip to Rome and it made me realise how much I had missed. Will have to back and take this book with me. It's full of beautiful coloured photographs and informative text. It's not intended to be a travel guide book and indeed it's a bit too chunky for that purpose but it is a perfect travel book companion.

I have been to Rome quite frequently over the past few years and have seen many of the sites covered in the book. I have also discovered there is still much more to see! It really does encourage me to go back to the Eternal City and view the places I have already been in a new light, and explore those I haven't seen. A first class and easy to use guide.

An interesting read 5 Jan 2011

Format:Paperback
Having visited Rome a couple of times I was surprised by the number of places I hadn't seen. The book has a wealth of illustrations and provides a lot of background information and history on well known and not so known parts of Rome. Not intended as a tour guide, although the size of the book s small, it is thick. A great book to read before travelling, or in retrospect.
