My Wife and I bumped into Ed on Sat 21-Sep-2013 in York where he was busking.
After listening to his music for 1 hour and being fully relaxed by it, I did not need to think twice about purchasing, there and then, off ed himself, this arpeggio CD. Its absolutely superb and rather than play it on the M62 from Liverpool to York, we did it in reverse, York to Liverpool.
Since playing this CD, I have ordered two more of eds CDs off Amazon and there will be more.
If you haven't listened to ed before, I suggest you do, you won't regret it.

I had the leasure of meeting Ed in Chester several years ago and got hooked on his style of music. Again during a trip to York in August 2011 I had the pleasure of bumping into him whilst he busked. His laterst album is fantastic with a wide variation of tacks and styles. A great album and well worth the money.

This CD is well worth listening to. Alleyne is obviously a very talented musician. A very distinctive style with undertones of rock music. The mix of tracks is varied and suits most tastes in music. Even the wife likes it!

I first discovered Ed Alleyne-Johnson many years back, with the Ultraviolet album. That has stood the test of time very well and I still dig it out reasonably often for a listen.

A couple of years back I was Christmas shopping in Chester and heard the strains of an electric violin. I thought "That sounds like Ed Alleyne-Johnson's music, wonder who's playing that?" Turns out it was Ed himself. After a bit of a chat, and some surprise on my part that he was busking in Chester, I bought the Arpeggio album.

All I can say is that he hasn't lost any of his form. This is a great album. If you already like the guy and his music, you won't be disappointed. If you've never heard of him, this is as good a place as any to start.

Another terrific album from Mr Alleyne-Johnson. Well worth waiting for. Synthesises the best aspects of rock and classical music. This man is brilliant as a live performer and captures the full essence of his performance in his recordings. It is truly amazing to hear him belting out masterpieces of rock and crafting them with his own interpretation to produce a sound which very often surpasses the original. His classical and compositional skills can be heard in his album "Symphony" and for more rock-classical pieces, his earlier double-album "Echoes" should not be missed. *****

I'm a big, big Ed fan. Since first hearing him in something like 1993, I have never been far from a copy of one of his songs. He's with me in the house, in the car, at work, on holiday. Seriously, at almost any time, you could ask me to play an Ed track and I could put my hands on one in a matter of minutes. Arpeggio is not my favourite Ed album, but it's still very good and has a nice, interesting collection of tunes.
