About the Author
Helen Dickson lives in Devon, England with her Newfoundland Dog, Ben. She started her online pattern business, Bustle & Sew, in 2009. Helen creates designs for patterns that are lively, interesting and fresh, and that she hopes will inspire others to pick up fabric and thread to produce their own piece of work with all the sense of achievement that brings. She loves stitching and is passionate about sharing with others through her Bustle & Sew blog and her monthly e-zine - an eclectic mixture of Helen's original designs, vintage stitching, features, articles and even a recipe page contributed by her daughter Rosie.

I was looking to make a special quilt for my grand-daughter, and this is it!! The illustrations in the book are just stunning, and the simple instructions have given me confidence to have a go. The book would make a lovely present for anyone interested in quilting.

If you're interested in creating a true heirloom then this is for you! The hand embroideries are so delightful and unique with a vintage look, and the creator and author has been very thoughtful to add easy to follow instructions for both the embroidery designs and the completed quilt. She has also added lots of thoughts and quotes for each month's design (June is a favorite of mine!) and information to make the experience both delightful, informative and fun for everyone regardless of experience. This book is simply charming, and after purchasing the e-book from her web-site, I just had to purchase the hard copy. I love it!
