This is a very pleasant sampler of a wide range of composers, many of whom are rarely encountered. The vast majority of the pieces are well worth hearing, even if some will not appeal to every listener. A good sampler of the Marco Polo catalogue which includes some very obscure but very enjoyable music.

I wasn't well impressed with this sampler. There are some tracks which are very, very good, and would lead me to seek out the composer's other works. But the vast majority are filler material, poor quality and uninteresting. Some of the recordings aren't too good either; second-rate material performed by second-rate orchestras bury the few gems. The cover is hideous and the insert fairly uninformative. Not worth the money.
