HM Armed Forces Royal Marines CommandoHM Armed Forces Infantryman
After seeing the adverts on TV both my 3 and 6 year old sons were almost as excited as their 35 year old Dad at the prospect of owning a HMAF figure (not doll as I have been told on countless occassions!). Would it be as good as the original Action Man, my husband asked excitedly the evening after the order was placed...and the answer is a resounding YES. The boys, all 3 have enjoyed hours of fun, smaller than the original Action Man and smaller than our daughters Barbie, it still looks impressive and although some have commented on the removable feet/boots, (they are one and the same) we have not as yet had any major soldier injuries. The problem we have had in the past is missing guns and bending and breaking or, eventually the hands getting weak and not holding them but I am pleased to say that this hasn't happened.
Overall a great toy - and considering 3 and 6 year olds usually get bored with things very quickly, ours cannot wait to build up their armys - needless to say we now have 3 infantry men 2 pilots 2 marines and the all important 'baddie'!!!

well i brought one of these for my nephew,sorry thats a lie i got it for myself as i collect figures...(not dolls)
as figures go it is quite good, its durable, parts are interchangable also.
however when looking closer you do notice its face looks like an extra from a vampire movie. pale skin and lips look like he's wearing lipstick. also just a niggle but,considering all the other in depth detail, feel it let down by the fact that he's not wearing a commando dagger on his sleeve which second only to the beret is the commando's most prized badge.
but overall for a young child great fun,especially bath times ect.

When I first saw the report on these being released on the news I hunted everywhere to get a pre-order in.
My son is 3 and LOVES soldiers, up until now we have had to buy him the tiny green plastic ones or the unrealistic soldiers with lasers and spaceships.
These are a breath of fresh air and really bring me back to my youth. When I was my sons age Action Man was THE toy and these do have the look and the feel of that iconic brand. Ok, they are not EXACTLY like Action Man but they are more robust, most toys in our house end up in bits in a few hours but our Commando has lived up to his reputation!
I hope that more units are brought out, I would love to see some UK Special Forces versions (SAS,SBS) Maybe even one soldier in dress uniform.
After seeing how much my son loves these I have also purchased the Infantry Soldier and the Tank.
Could not recommend these more highly.

HMAF Royal Marines Commando
Bought along with other items in the range, fully poseable figure, with interchangeable clothes and equipment. Good for imaginative play. Enjoyed by boys young and old!!!
