This fully articulated 10 inch action figure is based on the real Royal Marines of today. The figure features realistic and removable green fabric camouflage uniform and combined body armour and patrol vest that is also removable. This Commando figure has a removable Mark 6a combat helmet that provides outstanding protection while allowing the marine to wear a respirator, ear defenders, goggles and a radio set.
Royal Marines Commandos carry all the latest kit and equipment they need to sustain themselves in the battlefield and are highly skilled in the use of the latest weapon systems and this all-action hero is no exception. Armed and ready; this Royal Marines Commando is equipped with a replica under-slung 5.56 mm assault rifle with grenade launcher which enables the real marines to deploy grenades at extended distances. This fully-armed marine is also kitted with a light machine gun with stand that is a key component of a Royal Marines troop’s firepower!
Plan your own amphibious landings with this stealth canoe which fits in your marine figure that features a paddle and storage area where you can keep your accessories such as the Royal Marines badge that is included for you to wear when preparing for your covert operations.
The Royal Marines are the UK Royal Navy’s 'go anywhere' amphibious forces and a key component of the government's Rapid Reaction Force. As such, they are required to be trained to work in different terrains and environments, from the cold, mountainous conditions in Northern Europe, to the hot arid regions of the Middle East and Africa and the dense tropical jungles of the Far East. All Royal Marines are, first and foremost, Commandos and are required to undergo what is recognized as one of the longest and most demanding infantry training regimes in the world at the Commando Training Centre, Lympstone. On completion of training all Royal Marines are entitled to wear the 'Royal Marines Commando' flash on their uniform which is included on this incredibly detailed and authentic hero action figure.

Waited and waited for this, i mean they really built it up i saw the pre release adverts on tv, advertising the release day May 8th.... i mean, i couldn't wait ...anyway i had to have one, oops....i mean... for my son... who's five ....yes thats it HE had to have one. He did... yes.
Well I'm glad to say its smaller than the orig Action man, although this model is not related to action man in any way. the model is 10 inches tall, and although this model is really, really cool theres some tiny details i'm not keen on (but nothing major) for instance
Although his hands are a type of flexible rubber there fixed in a set position with trigger finger poised - its ok they are still flexible and will hold things but may be limiting if you want him swinging from a rope or something.
The boots fall off too easily - i've now glued mine on, the only draw back being we wont be able to slip off his trousers anymore.
I think it a little odd that the canoe doesn't float properly with the figure sitting in place, its too top heavy and so rolls over, bit of an oversight really i think they could have ironed that one out first.
The guns are made from a quite hard/rigid rubber, so ever so slightly bendy - initially i thought that was odd then i remembered my old action man machine guns the nozzles had all broken off so i think character - toys got it right there. These are very detailed and certain bits are painted, like the handle for instance. Again the helmet is slightly pliable plastic/rubber, but its great as i think it helps to keep the helmet on and it doesn't hurt so much when you tread on it in the garden whilst he's on manoeuvers.
His body armour/patrol vest is great, the detailing of the camo etc is very well done, again its in this rubberised plastic but does the job perfectly.
Anyway it may sound like i'm being critical but i'm not, i love this product and i'm sure we'll be buying others as it looks like it will be around for years and years.
When he's lined up next to our original action men he looks world class, better equipment, better, more natural poses - really looks the part.

This toys is great, although the boots sometimes fall off but overall it is great.
He fits in his canoe very nicely but i can't get the gun to stay on the front of his boat. He is very well detailed just like the royal marines themself and his vest and helmet is removable

This is a great toy, but still not as good as the original Action Man.
It's nearly there though, but not quite.
Quite disappointed with the canoe. It doesn't stay afloat on it's on accord, especially with the figure inside it.
Great equipment comes with it though.

Commando with Canoe
The figure and canoe is ok as seperates. The disappointing thing is that the man does not sit properly in the canoe.

Kids love guns
and maybe if we buy enough of these the profits can be used to but our blokes decent body armour
