This is a really good model, which captivates and ends up looking reasonably like the real thing! The pieces do actually interlock with normal Lego so no worries there. Standing the characters up on their own is tricky as their feet tend to not fit into the normal board. I purchased a separate set of flat stands (smooth plates with one line of 4x1 prongs down the middle) to aid things along, which work fine. One further bonus was the excellent service from supplier.

A fun build,the base,or ops room is a nice touch,and with extra bricks could be turned in to a control tower/bunker.However,be aware the aircraft is not stable, it tips forward on a flat surface.I put a crude tail wheel on the back,so that it can at least be displayed resting horizontally,and not in "just crashed" mode.The product picture is a bit misleading.
