Nostalgia Only 21 Jan 2011
After recently watching an episode of Armchair Thriller ( the atmospheric & far superior 'Quiet as a Nun' ), I was disappointed with this helping. It lacks the usual blend of suspense, and while it tries to build up the air of mystery, it soon becomes fairly predictable and routine. More in the mould of a sci-fi episode, and without giving too much of the plot away, it revolves around the supposed menace of a religious cult. Watch out for the lamentable attempt at a Southern accent by Alun Armstrong- who thankfully went on to far more demanding roles. Its a trip down Memory Lane but like Bryan Marshall's flat, it could of done with alot more tidying up.
