Quick read about one woman's perspective and 'journey' (literal and metaphorical) about being the supposed sole survivor in a post-apocalyptic world.
Slightly disjointed at times and lacks detailed description on some aspects but would make a decent novella if the author were to expand it.

This review does contain some spoilers so reader beware.

This is a very short story detailing one woman's perspective of being the sole survivor of a post apocalyptic world. Whilst the premise is good and the ending a twist I didn't see coming, the story itself lacks any depth of description, and reads very simply. If someone wanted to plug a novel, this would be the teaser they could use to get people hooked. At the end I felt almost cheated, like so much was missing. Perhaps that's what the author was going for. I hope that J E Taylor does expand this into a longer story, I think it has the makings of a great book.

Definitely worth a free read.

A short read of a post apocalyptic world that kept the reader's interest from the first page. My only negative thought on this book is that it could have been longer. However, as it was a free read, this is not a serious one in the case of this book.

The feelings of the sole survivor are quite clear as the book progressed. This despair draws the reader into the story as she continues to search for other survivors of this man made decimation that had swept across the world destroying almost all living things. However, the one bright light on the horizon is the secret that the survivor is nurturing. I would recommend this as a quick read for anyone who likes this kind of a story.

I hope that there is a longer novel in the pipeline for this story from the pen of this writer.
