Product Description

Box set of 1950s B-movie classics. 'Blood of Dracula' was directed by Herbert L Strock and stars Sandra Harrison as innocent schoolgirl Nancy Perkins who is sent to reform school by her cruel stepmother. There, she falls under the spell of her evil chemistry mistress, Miss Branding (Louise Lewis), and is tranformed into a murdering vampiress. Miss Branding uses hypnosis to convert Nancy to vampirism, leading her to commit gruesome murders of which she has no memory when the hypnosis wears off. However, Miss Branding's villainous plan backfires on her when Nancy fails to respond to the order to wake up after a hynotic spell, and turns on her treacherous teacher. 'The Brain Eaters' features an early screen appearance by Leonard Nimoy of 'Star Trek' fame. Strange things are happening in Riverdale, Illinois. A huge, seemingly alien structure has been found jutting out of the earth from which a horde of fuzzy parasitic creatures is escaping; creatures that fasten themselves to the necks of the townsfolk and control their brains... 'How to Make a Monster' is a revenge story about the fickle tastes of Hollywood producers. A specialist make-up man is made unemployed when the movie moguls decide that the public is no longer interested in monster movies and his skills are not needed. Embittered by this downturn in fortunes, he mixes a special chemical into his cosmetics, causing actors to turn into real-life monsters who vent their anger on the studio bosses. In 'The Spider', a giant dead spider is discovered in a cave, which proves the perfect display for a local high school - until the sounds of rock and roll stir the creature, and then no one is safe. Finally, 'War of the Colossal Beast', the sequel to 'The Amazing Colossal Man', features a 70-foot man, grown into a giant after being exposed to plutonium, becoming the target of a number of assassination attempts.
