Book Description

2 Oct 2012 Arisa (Book 9)
Arisa revolves around Sonoda Arisa and Uehara Tsubasa, twin sisters separated by their parents' divorce. They finally meet again for the first time after three years. Tsubasa is envious but proud of her sweet, popular sister, in comparison to her own school life and Arisa suggests they switch places for a day. Arisa reveals that life isn't as happy for her as Tsubasa thinks and she pushes herself out of the window. Determined to unravel the mystery of her sister's attempted suicide, Tsubasa continues to attend Arisa's school in her place to investigate.

5.0 out of 5 stars A powerful installment. 27 April 2013

Arisa is a multiple layered story with mystery elements, which are all coming together in these later volumes. It would be pointless to start here - go back to the beginning and proceed in order.

** This review contains no spoilers for Arisa 9 but will have minor ones for previous volumes. **

Natsumi Ando's suspenseful tale of Tsubasa's battle with the mysterious and danger King comes roaring into it's ninth volume after the unexpected end to volume 8. The reader is ahead of Tsubasa as to the King's identity and the foreknowledge of her unknown peril dramatically increases the tension. There's a laser focus now on the main plot and all of it's components. All of the characters are expertly handled and have a lot of depth.

The twists here are really amazing. There are pieces I'd figured out but this series still manages a lot of surprises. What's even more impressive is that they all fit perfectly - everything is fair play with what's come before. Tsubasa's situation gets rough and I have no idea where things will go from here. Certain things seem like they'll be very hard to tie up, but I have no reason to start doubting Ando now.

Still a fantastic series. Heading towards the end now and I can't wait.

Highly recommended.

This volume throws an unexpected twist, it's hard to say what will happen in the next volume for these twins, so I am intrigued and awaiting the next volume!

I loved everything about this manga . I cant wait to read the next volume. The part I liked best was when Arisa woke up and pretended that she had forgotten every thing.
