This film is an exellent addition to any kung fu fans collection, showcasing some rarely seen martial skills in a style i'm not too familiar with, the style not only appears to be quite effective but powerful too.
Great kung fu action all the way, an age old tale of good vs evil, & a monks inner conflict against his teachings not to fight when his heart tells him to stand for what is right.
The only failing I could find with this movie was that large parts of it appear to be missing, either they were never made or they are laying on some cutting room floor somewhere as at one moment our hero is fighting in the shaolin temple, protecting the monks, the next he is somewhere completely different routing the enemy generals troops. Were it not for this extremely poor editing I probably would have given it 4 stars instead.
Overall though my oppinion is if you can ignore this, the kungfu you do get more than makes up for it.
ps if anyone else knows of a more complete version of this film in pal regian please let me know.
