An Amazon reviewer commented that Jenny works out for herself just why it is so important for her to go to Oxford. Maybe I'm missing something, but this doesn't seem to be at all clear to me.True, Jenny takes back the comment made to her English teacher that she seems 'dead', but what is it exactly that convinces her of this? Just why is it a good thing to 'read English books' and get an education rather than go to nightclubs with dubious males? I need no explanation myself, but my teenage daughter could perhaps do with one.I thought the film was inadequate in this respect. There must be something better out there. Any suggestions?
