Eating the foods that suit your metabolismMeadow View Publications was set up by the author, specifically for the publication of this title. The aim was to make available a low cost book providing an alternative point of view to calorie counting diets. At the heart of the book is a test scorecard, devised by the author, which allows the reader to assess his or her metabolic rate. The book gives detailed advice on which are the best foods for fast and slow metabolism, plus information about vitamin and mineral supplements, exercise, etc. The benefits are not only weight loss without counting calories, but also feeling and looking really well.
From the Author
Your metabolic rate and the foods you should eatSorting out what we should and should not be eating is more involved than just sticking to the traditional healthy menues found in diet books and magazines. Reducing calorie intake may not work either. People have different metabolic rates, and this means there can't be just one diet that suits everyone. For example, people with a fast metabolism can usually cope with fatty foods, while those with a slow metabolism don't have problems with acidic foods like citrus fruit. But the other way round - slow metabolism and red meat, fast metabolism and citrus fruit - is likely to lead to all sorts of difficulties, including weight gain. So it is important to know what kind of metabolism you have, before you can make the right decisions on what you should and should not be eating. A simple scorecard test occupies the centre fold of my book, allowing you to make an assessment of your metabolic rate - fast or slow, or somewhere in between. The book also provides a wide range of dietary information, which can help you lose weight and improve health.
