I had some difficulty in rating this game as I'm still not sure who this game is aimed at. If you are buying this on the back of the fact that it mirrors the TV series then you will be disappointed. As a family we love the show, and the questions which you should know but you don't!
However in this game you do not have choice of categories only age groups. If you play it as you should you could end up getting the same category in every age group - we remedied this by playing our own rules! If you help another player you can earn £250 - seems to add very little value to the game. In the end we got bored of the actual rules and tried to make it more interesting by creating our own. Some of the questions in this game are a far cry from what is asked on TV. For example, 'What is 4 divided by 4'; 'how many 50p in £3.50'; '35 minus 23'. On top of that there are far too many True or False questions - why did they do that? For an adult game this would get a 1 star rating, however I have scored this 3 stars only because the kids really enjoyed it as they could answer a lot of the questions. I feel that the makers have completely missed the point here - and it is such a shame, this could (should) have been excellent.

I bought this last week as I buy a new board game every year and played it with a bunch of us on Saturday night. Had seen the tv series on Sky One once or twice. I was not disappointed. Everyone really enjoyed it... even though most of us didn't do very well! Great fun for a good evening's entertainment, for adults, but older children alike. In fact they'd probably do better than we did, as the primary curriculum is more recent to them!
Well worth buying for a Christmas laugh. I found it much cheaper elsewhere though.

A 10 year old would have made a better game,

What a letdown.
I have not seen the show but brought this game on the promise that it "Puts kids and adults on a level playing field" (see Amazon description) - how does it do this? I hoped that there would be some form of handicap system based on age, but no, simply 6 to 10 year old age categories (even though the box says suitable for ages 8 upwards??). As a previous reviewer said the game boards are rubbish being cheap and flimsy, also not enough are supplied for 4 players - only one "age category" board is given yet each player is to collect 2 from each category and place markers on the board - I think 4 boards should be given. In all a game to avoid - much disappointment. You would have thought a company like Parker would have performed better.
