5.0 out of 5 stars WOW, 23 Oct 2002
By A Customer
This album sounds like nothing esle i've heard so much energy so much passion its rocks all the way through. How tragic is it that the lead singer died after 1 album and betty are no more, i'm gutted. But at least we have this, its an instance classic, no girl band comes even close and its up ther will the very best from the boys (like Motley crue at there best with some L7 thrown in but this is still 100 % betty), this is sleazy, pop, punk, rock, with loads of humour and attitute at its very best. RIP Bianca.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best rock 'n' roll girl band ever? ... Quite Possibly!, 19 Dec 2001
This is an outstanding album, this is all about good time rock 'n' roll. To describe what I mean, imagine a combination of these artists: Joan Jett, L7, The Donnas and Girlschool.

This album gives rock fans some new anthems including "Hell on Wheels", "Shut Up and Fu*k", "I Wish You'd Die", and "Rock My World".

My personal favourite is "Big Hair, Broken Hearted" which is a top ballad about the good old days of Cock Rock that were the late 80's early 90's.

To summarise thisis a GREAT Party Album, intended to be payed loud and enjoyed for what it is ... which is FUN!!

5.0 out of 5 stars The best band you never heard..., 11 Feb 2006
By A Customer
I stumbled upon Betty Blowtorch by accident and thank god I did. If I'd missed out on this album I'd have missed out on what is now one of my favourite records. The songwriting is influenced by the best of 70's and 80's rock n roll. Big Hair Broken Heart sounds like a top ten smash while the likes of Size Queen, Rock My World and Rock n Roll 69 will rip your head off. You should definately get this, oh and there's a Betty retrospective movie out later this year on DVD.
