CD1 is a collection of his own tunes, and there isn't a poor one among them. You may have recently heard a couple of remixes on other compilation albums, but they never quite do the business, simply because they were perfected by Tony originally. "I don't Care" I consider the most definitive hardhouse tune of all time. If you've ever seen what Faithless-Insomnia does to a dancefloor, "I don't care" grabs a crowds attention even more. It's a tune that will give u goosebumps, and I guarantee you'll say to yourself "I swear I've heard this before". Then there's "Are you all ready", which has a bassline that touches your inner soul, and just completely sucks you in. "The Dawn" phenomenal, recognisable also. "Splashdown" Fast, mental raving madness. It's a collection that is years old, but was before its time, so sounds fresh and did you notice its released by tidy. Enough said. An argument can errupt when trying to put his best 5 in order. Mine is 1. I don't care 2. Are you all ready? 3. The Dawn 4. Splashdown 5. Give me a reason. My mate reckons are you all ready? is best, its harder, but doesn't quite have as much feeling in it. It's a tough call, but you know that Tony hit perfection with I don't care.
CD2: what? as if CD1 isn't quality enough, we're given a second CD of his remixes. It doesn't fit the tall order of being better than CD1, but there are some quality remixes. Louise's naked is a delightful surprise, and the age of love remix is an updated hardhouse version, amazingly, done when the song first came out. It's an excellent version. A couple of tunes sound dated at the start, but overall another excellent collection of Tony's work.
This is a taste of musical genius packed onto 2 CD's, it must be in your collection if your a hardhouse fan, coz your not gonna get anything else but inferior remixes from now on. The tributes on the packaging and the photos are excellent, making the whole album seem as personal to Tony as possible. Just make sure you listen to it LOUD. Especially "Are you All ready". That is an experience like none other when the volumes on full.
