This book has some great poems about monsters, ghosts, aliens and things like that. Paul Cookson chose them; he did not actually write them all but only found them, yet he is identified as the author! However, it does have the rightful poet's name at the bottom of the page. My favourite poem is very funny. It is about a boy who lives with lots of strange creatures in his home; it is called `Never Alone at Home'. This poem is actually written by Paul Cookson. I like it because of the beat, rhythm and metre of the poem. It has a fast and fun to say even though the beginning is like a tongue twister: `Nessie messes in the bath'. Try saying `Nessie messes' very fast without stopping - it's really difficult! I would definitely rate this book 8/10 and would strongly recommend it to anyone who likes poetry, like me, especially, about strange creatures. I did like this book.
