My pug loves this stuffed in her kong, nearing the end of the tube now and as its metal it is quite difficult to squeeze. Please change to plastic!

I got this to go in my dogs kong toy and she loves it she comes running up to me with her kong toy wanting me to fill it with the paste. I cant find it in any of the pet shops I will have to order more from Amazon.

Initially I was using Kong spray treat to fill the Kong Classic toy, but it was a bit wet and runny. I then got a bit naughty and started using peanut butter, but then worried about the effect it would have on my dogs teeth. After looking around at alternatives, I thought I would give this a try. It is a lot thicker than the Kong spray treat, smell isn't too bad and the dog seems to enjoy it.

There is a fair bit of meat in it and it also has parsley, which I am told is good for breath odours. I just squeeze out a small bead onto a butter knife and spread it onto the inner lip of the Kong toy. As it is a bit thicker, the dog has to lick it for longer and so he is pre-occupied for longer. I suspect that the taste or small must linger as he keeps returning to the toy to lick it long after he has cleaned it up.

It is also recommended for hiding tablets, but I can't comment on that as I haven't needed to do so yet.

I found the following information from the manufacturers site when looking up the contents:

Analytical Constituents: Crude Protein 12%, Fat Content 28.6%, Crude Ash 1.4%, Crude Fibres 1%, Moisture 57%.
Composition: Pork, Pork liver (35%), Sunflower Oil, Pork Fat, Dried Mixed Vegetables, Gelatine, Parsley.
Contains no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. Naturally hypoallergenic and free from wheat gluten, dairy products, beef and soya.

Bottom line: A touch on the expensive side, but 2-3 pea sized amounts spread into nooks and crannies of a suitable toy can keep a dog occupied for a little while, and you can always subsidise this with cheaper treats.

I thought the postage and package was a bit dear so would of bought several if I could of at once in the same box. Once opened had to keep in fridge. Which made it very difficult to squeeze from the tube. Also the lid doesn't go back on properly. But can't fault my German shepherd x Labradors love of it. Great to put into an ice container and fill with water. Keeps them amused for a while which is very handy.

I found it impossible to squeeze from the tube. It needs to be kept in the fridge after opening, which makes squeezing even harder. Eventually the tube split so it was useless..

My Greyhound loves this ,I stuff his kong with it ,just one downside, it is very hard to squeeze the tube to get it out. If your fingers are weak like mine it is a real struggle , and for that reason I can only give 3 stars

would be better in a plastic tube as half the contents were still in it with no way to squeeze it out, needs to be plastic not metal,5 stars would have been given otherwise

My Golden Retriever pup loves the liver paste. I always use it to coat his worming tablets, he wolfs them down then!

A lot smaller than I thought the tube would be and the only downfall is the metal tubing, it's really difficult to get anything out, even when it's full.
