WOW if your looking for oversized cooling system for your graphics card and are luck enough to have the right modeled 9800 gtx card (mine wasnt and dont no anyone else who has) and big enough pc case to fit it in, then this beast will be great. the Geforce 9800 gtx is a big card to start with but is dwarfed in comparison to this oversized monster only two of the 3 fans fit over the card, the third one extends with a heatsink connected by copper pipe and takes up the space of at least another pci slot inside..maybe 2 slots. cant comments on the sound of this thing but i have to rate it low as it doesnt fit all 9800 gtx as the description says.

Did not fit either of the two Nvidia 9800's that i have, the copper cooler pipes touch the capacitors and prevent the HSF from being seated on the GPU/ram so it hovers and inch above. The back end of the aluminium fins touches the S-video port shielding, stopping that end from fitting too. I'm sending my two back, do not buy!

U need to buy a full tower before you buy this monstrosity. Also it didn't fit on my 9800GT without major mods to it. But seriously, 3 fans to cool a 9800 ?!!! The stock cooler on my PNY 9800GT was a single slot affair!!! Unfortunately the fan on the thing died after a year (stay clear of PNY !). This atrocious contraption takes up the space of 4 slots ! That is if you can manage to fit it on your card in the first place. My advice - please find something sensible to cool your card.

Honestly I did not notice that much of a cooling difference between the stock and this cooler, and I think that was primarily because of the SLI setup and clearance issues (see below). Also the extra passive IC cooling fins with thermal tape adhesive that came with it repeatedly fell off of the IC's on the graphics card with time.

This is despite completely cleaning the old thermal gunk and dust from the surrounding board and ICs using a stiff bristled art paintbrush, tissue paper and cotton bud with rubbing alcohol (90% isopropyl).

They somehow managed to stick after several retries over maybe a month or so (though God alone knows why it would after so much falling off, go figure). I had actually bought two of these along with a 9800 GTX+ for an SLI setup, but after seeing the problems with the first one, I decided to leave the stock cooler on the newly bought second card.

Also, it really isn't the best for use in the SLI configuration as the cooler sits basically directly ON TOP of the video card PCB underneath with maybe 1mm of clearance. I underestimated the size and the spacing of PCI slots on the board. That's probably why the temperature cooling wasn't so good probably. Would probably be good for a single card setup.... though I still dislike how the IC heatsinks were always falling off!
