The Archos is a nice little device and I purchased this for my 7 year old. She can work the device without any issues but I did notice some issues.
My main issue is with the volume, the level resets each time you turn off the device. Personally I feel the default is too high, especially for children.
The video and photo functions are not worth it. The screen is too small and images take an age to load.
To end on a positive, the mp3 function is very good and the ability to recharge the device is great.

Archos Clipper Good/ Listing Inacurate

The item is now listed correctly as the Clipper 2GB player from Archos but still shows the Vision 15b from Archos. When I purchased the product it was listed as the 15b which is a slightly larger player with much longer battery life and a screen. After receiving the Clipper and noticing it was not what I thought I was ordering I tried returning. Customer service accepted the return and said they would send the correct player. They sent me the Clipper again.
After having the clipper for six months I've decided it is an ok player at a decent price. Customer service from whomever fulfilled the order was terrible. Functionality of the Clipper is minimal as it is 2GB and sans-screen. The battery life is also average. I believe I get between 8 and 10 hours of run time depending on play mode. The shuffle mode is random both forward and reverse so there is no going back to the last track unless not in random play mode. The back button does not take you back to the beginning of the track, but to the previous song. The function of the buttons is easy to learn.
The product listing and customer service is poor. The Archos Clipper is a decent sounding 2GB player for people using MP3's and on a budget. If I lost this player I might buy another. I would probably buy the Vision 15B as intended.
