I had the pod attached to my TV system between the TV and a Virgin cable box and the recordings I managed to get were of very poor quality, whereas the Archos plugged straight into a digital Freeview aerial socket provides beautifully clear recordings. For playback through my TV I can use the standard A/V cable, so the docking pod provides no advantage there. And keeping the pod permanently attached means that changing channels from one picture format to another results in about a second time-delay before the picture adjusts to the new format. As a result, I've sold my docking pod, judging it a waste of space.
