Apart from the price, this item is worth having. It makes recording anything (Including DVD's) onto the AV500 far easier then through the "docking pod" It also allows you to view recorded video (again, including Protected DVD's) into your normal TV which you can't via the "pod"
The lead is the normal 3 wire phono to 3.5mm Plug but the adaptor is the key as it has the multi plug connection to the AV500 with 2 x 3.5mm sockets for input and output.

This is handy for when you want to use the AV500 away from home. Obviously. A shame Archos didn't bundle it with the player though. Now for a replacement for the awful "docking bay" they did bundle with it...
This great accessory lets you play your Archos AV500 through your TV, also allows you to record direct from it. great item for a great price

Possibly the most stupid bit of product design ever.
I bought one for my Archos AV700 and because it sticks out of the unit at a perpendicular angle it snapped clean off. Read more
