Mr Childish has released a lot of music over the years, the first album i heard was the excellent 'In Blood' with Holly Golightly but this compilation sereves as a brilliant introduction to one of musics great outsiders. Tracks from across his career with various bands merge effortlessly to make one of the most enjoyable compilations you could hope to hear. From Thee Headcoats uncompromising punk rock to the Milkshakes classic garage rock there really is a lot of stuff to enjoy here. From the tender ''An Image of You' to the brutal but catchy 'The day i beat my father up' its a quality ride of rock 'n' roll thrills. The sing-along folk lament of 'I don't like the man i am' is a current favourite but it's all great stuff. An essential album of pure rock 'n' roll.

This man deserves your postal order. It's very very good. And that is only the pictures. I didn't realise how good until I played it. Now I can't stop. Being one for the odder, obscurer avenues of music megacity (Jay Reatard, The Animals, Van der Graaf Generator, Sun-era-pre-drum Elvish, Alternative TV, 13th Floor Elevators, Pretty Things might be living next door) it is right up my cul-de-sac and I am more than a little embarassed not to have visited the Medway sound before now.

If you have never heard of B. Childish ESq. or his many bands over the last 30 years this CD will be a complete introduction to a musical (as well as artistic)
Genius whose contribution to British music cannot be overstated - Or if you prefer ; some of the best low-down dirty Rock and Roll ever recorded . Close the doors , turn it up , dance and sing.
You wont regret it .
