I must be a dummie! 8 July 2005

This is a great book! I am going to study Architecture at uni in October and this has really helped me get a basic understanding before I go, I can now argue with my boss who is an architect about architecture and kind of know what I am on about! Buy it!

I already have a couple of books on architecture, and on roman, gothic building, more . Nevertheless I find this is a nice book to have, because it's always good to see different approaches to a topic of interest.

A non patronising review of the history and structure of architecture. Its well laid out with plenty of examples although sometimes the skipping back to examples is irritating. Thats a small critisism for a specialist book that would appeal to everyone.
