Firstly, this book is very much 'of its time'; I have seen other reviews elsewhere taking it to task for sexism etc. However, looked at in context the author is actually progressive for his time, encouraging 'the fair sex' to actively participate rather than just spectating.

That said, the archery advice is all still spot-on and as relevant to traditional archery now as it was then. This guy put in some absolutely astonishing scores; you probably won't be able to repeat those, but you are bound to improve unless you are an expert already.

I paid full-whack for the hardback, but this book is actually out of copyright by about a hundred years and you can download it for free if you don't want the physical copy.
