At long last i have bought a new mantle clock, It has a lovely walnut wood finish and keeps good time and enhances my living room.

OK this does not pretend to be an antique Swiss timepiece and the price reflects that, however it does appear to keep pretty good time and is attractive enough. On removing the unit from the wrapping it had a relatively small blemish on the wood and if it had been any more expensive, I would probably have sent it back for an exchange. The packaging seemed intact so it may be a QC issue at despatch. As I think others have said, although the dimensions are clear on the site, the clock is a bit smaller than it initially appears.
