Nice specialized set - but get two 20 Jun 2009

Compared to the other dungeon tile sets, this one more specialized than the other sets. You get some very nice tiles for creating a wizard lab or library. The curved walls and stairs pieces are also nice additions. You can use them with other tile sets (the standard gray dungeon tiles) or alone to make circular rooms or towers.

To create entire circular rooms or tower floors that look right, you will need to buy 2 sets. You can get away with 1 set, but the outer walls will not go together. Even the example dungeons on the inside cover use 2 sets.

Overall it's a nice product but this is not a starter set.

Solid Tile Set 6 Feb 2010
By E. Homar - Published on Amazon.com
This is a solid tile set in the D&D series. It has some fun and unusual tiles for use in the Wizard's Lair or whatever other arcane theme you have going.

The tiles are made of solid cardboard, and each tile has a front and back design. Quite good quality.

My only issue is I am just not organized enough to use them. Many of the fun features are actually much smaller tiles (think 1-2 squares) that you lay on top of the larger ones to create the scene. If you only own a few of the tile sets, it works great. But as you accumulate more of them, trying to keep it straight and keep the sets organized has become a challenge and I find myself only using the larger tiles.

If you have more organization skills than I do, these are a nice addition to your basic dungeon maps and tiles.
