They are what they are. 23 Aug. 2014

I find myself at a loss for how to review something like a glass counter....They are white like the page says...and they are glass counters so they do what glass counters should...don't throw them or they might break because again...glass....um. That's it I guess...If you know what glass counters are, then you know what these are. If not...they are like small stones...made of glass and are used for different things in gaming such as keeping track of damage or marking something or as victory tokens.
High quality Counters for table top gaming! 5 Sept. 2013

These are high quality counters. Smooth with a little heft so they won't slide everywhere. They are a little larger than I expected, but that's okay. I liked them so much I ordered another set of a different color. Great product!
Good addition to a gamer's kit 20 Jun. 2013

The product photo reveals exactly what you'll get, except for one detail: with a diameter of 19 millimiters (about three-quarters of an inch), the stones are a bit bigger than I had expected. This is not a problem per se, but you should be aware of their size if you're planning (like me) to use them as card-modifying counters in CCGs such as Magic: the Gathering. No more than five stones can be aligned to the length of a Magic card without "going overboard". I don't feel this to be an issue. And just for the sake of curiosity: it takes at least fifteen stones to completely cover the face of a Magic card.

Using them as standalone tokens on a gaming table is great, as they're easily visible, stable and neat. Given their hemispherical shape it's impossible to set them up in vertical piles, of course, but aside from that you might use them anywhere. Even if you're using an all-white gameboard or tablecloth, the "pearl white" color is distinctively true to its name, glistening softly under room lights. Their "smooth glass" feel is enjoyable to the touch.

The count of 30 stones per pack is truthful. I bought two packs, quite frankly expecting some count variation, but Arcane Tinmen seems careful with their packaging.

All in all, these stones are a delightful addition to a gamers' travel case. Even if you don't find a place for them in every game, just storing them in a cloth bag makes for a nice gamer's version of a stress ball!
