Product Description

Book Description

For over 250 years a mysterious inscription
D.O.U.O.S.V.A.V.V.M. on the Shepherd's Monument in the gardens of
Shugborough Hall in England has been said to indicate the location of the
Holy Grail, hidden by the Knights Templar. This book contains the
astounding solution to the code and describes a unique intellectual quest.

From the Inside Flap

The source code to a new understanding of the Ancient World and a cornucopia of ideas, this is a historical and artistic expedition into ancient Arcadia in pursuit of that poetic perception of the world that was unique to early Humanity. Living in Arcadia was the perfect state of being; of physical, intellectual and spiritual harmony within the ecology of Nature. The Arts, Science and Religion all originate in this prehistoric time, and all were included in a system of Natural Philosophy that contained all the knowledge of Arcadia. In addition the Arcadian Philosophy is a psychology of virtuous positive thinking that offers the possibility of a happy life and may even guide us towards a future world without violence and war.
In his previous book, `Arcadia; The Solution to the Templar Code', Clifton Power solved the 250 year-old enigma of the inscription D.O.U.O.S.V.A.V.V.M. on the Shepherd's Monument in England. In `Queen of Arcadia', the author embarks on an even more daunting intellectual quest. Learning to decode the ancient symbolic and poetic language, he forays deep into Stone Age Arcadia and homes in to an extraordinary discovery. Be prepared, your perception of human history and evolution will take a quantum leap into the astounding truth as the Cosmology and World-view of the Arcadians is explored and the forgotten Queen of Arcadia is found.

1.0 out of 5 stars Naive speculation, 11 Sep 2008
By David J. Ingram "Ravenmaster" (France) - See all my reviews

There is a whole cottage industry related to Rennes le Chateau and the Priory of Sion. Almost all the other books in this field are better. This booklet offers no references to substantiate its claims and is merely speculative. Typically one page ( 12 ) has, line 4 "are said to have been; line 7 "many say that"; line 10 "there are indications that"; "Rousseau may have studied", "Tolkien could have known". There are unsubstantiated assertions, page 30 " I have shown that the Templars followed an ancient form of sun worship". His "solution" is never demonstrated to be that and all that follows has no foundation and I share his uncomfortable feeling when he writes, " I get the uncomfortable feeling that I am an amazing genius" As teenagers say "NOT!!"

1.0 out of 5 stars Arcadia - by Clifton Power, 8 Sep 2008

DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK.

This 'book' is more like a pamphlet. It is 61 pages of ripped-off drivel. Most of it you will read in the Holy Blood and Holy Grail. I can't believe the publisher (Lightning Publications) and the author (Clifton Power) has got away with this con.

Seriously, don't bother buying it.

Psssst - Mr Power the Priory de Sion never even existed. It has long been proven a hoax and a good example of disinformation.

5.0 out of 5 stars My review of Arcadia, 8 Jul 2006

This is a deeply engrossing and thought provoking book that takes you through the Author's thought processes as he works towards his conclusion. It encompasses art, history, religion and mythology. It would also be of interest to those who enjoy solving real mysteries or those who appreciate the beauty of English stately homes. I look forward to reading more from this impressive new Author.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointment
I expected facts and got someones opinion. This was speculative at best. When i finished it I felt robbed i could have written it myself.
