I've always enjoyed knitting aran patterns which is why I chose this book. And I wasn't disappointed. There are so many different patterns and styles to choose from. There's also a section at the end which explains how to knit, and do cables etc and how to follow the graphs. I think even a novice to aran and celtic knitting would be able to knit any one of these delightful patterns, and an expert will love trying them all!

I bought the book because the pattern in the cover interested me, but to my delight I found more interesting patterns inside! I use this also as a source of inspiration: I seldom make any pattern as it is, and this book has so many different varities to offer, that I have already designed six new ones myself mixing the charts. Pullovers and cardigans for adults and children...

I'm relatively new to knitting, however I have found this book to be inspirational. The photos show clearly what the finished item should look like. The instructions are understandable and the 'how to do's' in the back of the book easy to follow. I'm not nearly as daunted as I was before the book. I've two projects on the go and looking forward to more. I like this book very, very much.

I got what I ordered and in good time which was a good service. However, eventhough I am a seasoned knitter, I found the book very complicated and of little use to me.

I found 'Arans and Celtics' old fashioned - about 30 years out of date, although it might suit anyone wanting to get back to the days of big shoulder pads and quick knitting. Read more
