5.0 out of 5 stars Fascinating history of the birth of the Aran sweater., 7 Sep 2001
By
This review is from: The Aran Sweater (Hardcover)
Fascinating!! I was surprised to learn that the intricate patterns were originally devised by the Aran fishermen. It is a great coffee table book and a great tag-along gift to my homemade Aran sweaters. It is an interesting way to pass on the Aran history to my children and grandchildren.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cute little book, packed with information, 1 Jan 2008
By Blandyna Williams - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: The Aran Sweater (Hardcover)
This is a cute little book, with plenty of information on the history of Aran sweaters for its size. An easy read, with colored lithographic-type illustrations showing how famailiar objects of landscape, work and daily life were interpreted into the Aran stitches. There is even a unisex sweater pattern.
