Araldite rapid - tube pack
Araldite is a fast setting, very strong adhesive, which will bond ceramics, wood, chipboard, glass, metal and most hard plastics.
Solvent free, heat and cold, water and oil resistant.
Each blister contains one tube of adhesive and one tube of hardener.
Mix equal proportions of each tube thoroughly and it is ready to apply.
Sets in around 15 minutes.

Two containers - one is the adhesive, the other makes it harden. This is great, as the glue never sets in the tube and lasts for ages.
Although it's a bit messy, this stuff is good to do almost any job - just get a pea-sized measure of each, get an old lid or something, mix them up 50/50 and you're ready to go.
This arrived just in time for me to glue the plastic handle back on my oven door (when it fell off, the insulating layer of glass came loose too, as it was all that held it in place). This glue has firmly held the screws in the pllastic even though the thread has gone, and theyy are subject to great heat. They've also fixed the plastic shelf compartment on the dashboard of my car after mechanics carelessly broke it after supposedly mending something else.
I have yet to meet a household gluing task that this adhesive can't handle - it copes with heat, rough treatment, water - you name it. I've mended freezer compartment doors, toilet seats... all kinds of things with no problem.
And forget about needing ten minutes to set - in my experience give it 5 at most and it's ready. Great stuff!

The first time I ever come across Araldite, was when my Granda would always swear by it for it's adhesive qualities. My dad would also use it to fix our school shoes when the soles would come off.So when a few fixtures around the house and my realtively new trainers needed repaired I decided to keep up the family tradition and ordered some Araldite and was not disappointed. It can be a bit messy first time you use it, with the mixing of the two tubes but the end results are worth it- my trainers are still in one piece and the plastics I stuck are still, well, stuck! It is always useful to have such a strong adhesive that adapts to the wear and tear of whatever it is used on.

Doing a design tech. project at school, I was able to use it to glue various woods together, metal to wood. I have also used it to glue a broken mug before. I like the idea of mixing the two parts together as I believe that it prelongs its life span, as it doesn't dry out as quick and is a lot less messier. Overall a good product.

Glue
Excellent product, easy to use . Very pleased with its performance, especially with glass, which can be difficult to work with.
