What? You've never seen Arachnophobia? I don't believe you! I'm pretty sure everyone in the world has seen and been chilled to the bone by this film... the first time I saw it, it scared the crap out of me and has haunted me ever since - I still look up at light fittings and shower heads on entering the bathroom!

This is a must for your collection, whether you buy loads of DVDs or are just looking for something to try out your new piece of kit. ...you'd be hard pressed to get a better deal! Buy this one now!

"Arachnophobia" is a clever comedy/thriller sure to scare the spider-phobes out there. Jeff Daniels and Harley Jane Kozak star as Dr. Ross and Molly Jennings, a young couple who have moved to the country to start his medical practice. Little do they know that a huge, deadly spider has arrived from South America and is reproducing - a lot. One by one, town residents start dropping like flies, until Ross figures out they were all died of spider bites. This brings back memories of a childhood trauma that left him with a paralyzing fear of spiders. And the spider's nest is right in Ross' barn.

There are many creepy scenes menacing spiders that will have you looking around to make sure none are near you. The idyllic rural setting contrasts nicely with the intensely scary stalking spiders. Daniels is perfect as the dedicated young doctor and John Goodman has a small but funny part as an exterminator. The movie may be too scary for very young children, but others will giggle a little and gasp a lot.

My girlfriend says that everyone is scared of spiders... i disagree, i love them. This film gives arachnophobes an excuse, but my god, what a film! Full of classic Acting and an original, if a little far-fetched, storyline. The tension built in this film is amazing. Also before watching this, bear in mind it is actually full of real spiders, there are only a couple of fake ones. A definate must see, especially if you want to show your girlfrined how brave you are, watch this and then go and clear the house of spiders!!! This is at least a must-watch, but i would definately recomend buying it.

not for children
this is a classic, however it should not be PG rated! It could be very frightening for a child and there are also a few strong swear words. If your not a child it is a must see.
