Excellant! 6 Mar 2007
By Jake
Format:Paperback
A good dictionary that provides options to clear up the meaning of each word (whether figurative or otherwise). I have found this to be accurate in most cases and am rarely let down by it. Small enough for the bag and full enough for most usages.

Only two critisms are the lack of prepositional suggestion that often tinkers with the meaning and can vastly improve vocab and the absence of practical examples in the Arabic sentence.

Good for early to intermediate learning.

I have found this dictionary very helpful in my studies. It is very simple in its layout and small enough to be portable whilst remaining comprehensive enough for everyday use. As a warning, this dictionary is only useful to someone reasonably fammiliar with the grammar structures and calligraphy of the language. Although it contains transliterations in to English characters, the Arabic section is in Arabic alphabetical order.

Easy to find vocabulary in arabic. Writing a bit small especially the arabic words but lets you learn the basics.
