This was my first buy. I found it easy to follow, now on the 8th lesson and looking for the next installment. Has given me confidence in everydat sayings and correct pronounciation. A good investment.

Well as the title says, it will work only if you work it. This does not mean swotting day in day out. The way I do it: I lay down on my settee and listen. I'm a slow learner and I some times can't make out what has been said. But I persevere and eventually get it.
The package comes in eight lessons, I am now on number five. I am having difficulty understanding what is being said on this lesson.
But I know if I just keep going, that is, lying on the couch and listenening.It will finally be understood as in the previous four lessons.
I gave this three stars not for the whole package,but for the lessons that I have gone through. I will probably give it the whole five stars, when I complete the eights lessons. And that depends on me. I know it will work only if I work it. marsalarma ( Goodbye)

I was slightly dubious about this program after listening to a rambling 20 minute introduction but it really is excellent.
Clear, concise language instruction that is easy to follow. I remembered most of the first lesson the next day and have found that the more I learn, the more easy it becomes to make the sounds that are not in the English language. If you have a working knowledge of German you'll find some of the sounds very similar.
I have completed the initial units contained in this course and practised with native Egyptian Arabic speakers who say that the pronouncuation I have learnt is excellent - what a great endorsement!
You might find it a little frustrating to start with - stick with it because it's worth it.
Once you complete the units in this course, Pimsleur offer further units which are also excellent tuition. As Arabic is cursive when written I would say as the long intro by the Pimsleur guys does - don't write anything, just listen and speak and you will be able to hold a conversation and understand basic language within just a few hours.
