You'll get 2 months if you're lucky... 21 Mar. 2012
By Moldy - Published on Amazon.com
I purchased this heater directly from TruAqua's website in December 2011. In February, this thing started malfunctioning and would jump from 77 degrees to 86 degrees to 68 degrees randomly and I would have to reset it to the temp I wanted it (which was 77 degrees). Every morning I would wake up and the temp would be different and I'd have to change it back to 77 degrees. Finally one day, the temp adjustment button on top would not work any longer so the heater was stuck at 68 degrees. I tried unplugging the heater and moving it to different outlets at which point the heater would not power on at all. I have e-mailed this company 3 times over a month and a half period and they refuse to respond to my messages. I currently own some other products of theirs, and unfortunately am now regretting ever wasting my money on their products. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AND THIS MALFUNCTIONING HEATER!!!

Works, but not for long 9 Mar. 2012
By Payton34 - Published on Amazon.com
I bought this heater for a 55 gallon discus tank. It kept the entire tank an even 84, and the thermometer on the heater was accurate to a 1/2 a degree. The problem with it is that the entire unit will shut off, and I have had a very difficult time turning it back on. Good heater IF you can get it to stay on!

Not if you like your fish 25 May 2012
By thomas r. hicks - Published on Amazon.com
I bought this heater for my Discus tank. It worked well for three months, and then started randomly varying the temperature between 76 and 90. This is not good for Discus. if you value your fish, do NOT use this heater.

I have a 55 gallon tank. It only lasted for 3 months. The heater just turned off and never turned on.

No brain aquarium heating 5 April 2012

This has to be the best design for an aquarium heater ever! The digital temperature set amd readout make this the best heater I have ever had in my tank. By the way, it works flawlessly as well. Second AquaTop product I purchased, the first being a canister water filter which works just as well.
