I bought this case a while ago and took it kayaking. The first couple of photos were excellent but the I noticed some blur occurring on one of them, which got increasingly worse. I had a look at the lens of the case and noticed it was scratched on the inside by the front of the camera lens. Aquapac suggested in their documentation that the best photos would be taken by holding the front of the camera lens against the lens of the case. Please DO NOT DO THIS!! It will damage the case beyond repair!
When I got back I contacted Aquapac who suggested sending the case to them for inspection. I have since received a replacement and Aquapac have been excellent. Five stars for them!
I have not used the new case as I would like to find a solution to prevent my lens from accidentally scratching the lens on the case again. It's difficult to keep the camera lens a fraction away from the lens of the case when sea kayaking.
Also, depending on what camera and lens you use it with, I would find it difficult to take in the moment photos. It takes a second or two to position the camera properly in the case and avoid taking photos of the inside of the case itself. I am also going to make a lens cap for the case to keep it dry and scratch free when not in use while kayaking. Obviously, this is an issue with every solution, even if you were to take the camera out on the water without a case..
Other than these issues however, and provided I find some solution to making sure the camera lens doesn't scratch the case, this is an excellent product which I would buy again. The quality of the photos was excellent without loss of focus, colour etc...
One suggestion; it would be useful to buy camera armour or tape the flash bracket to avoid damage as this is a soft case.
