I just bought this bag last month to replace my old work backpack. I'm a cycling officer and use my backpacks for work every day, and put them through a serious amount of rain, dirt, snow, muck and abuse from user.

So far this bag has proved to be super waterproof and durable. It is holding up to my big amount of kit - is a great size! I seriously recommend this backpack for the enthusiastic cyclist and commuter - it's stylish and practical. Also really comfortable padding in the back, which you don't ususally get with dry-bags, and some great robust waist straps. Chest straps nice and adjustable for the ladies! Good amount of reflective detailing on the waist bands - good for side on visibility in winter.

Took a while to work out how the top cover works; might be me but I think it could be improved. The backpack as a whole is fine, sturdily made and definitely waterproof. There's enough storage room for a day's walking - my wife and I had one between us (guess who carried it!) and fit 2 water bottles, our pack up, 2 light waterproof jackets and small odds and ends in. It does seem bigger on the outside compared to how much you can get in, but with one each there should be plenty of room for a day spent stumbling about in those North Yorkshire hills. Just don't forget to plan a route with a few pubs!

I bought this to carry my laptop and other electronic equipment when I was working in the tropics. I used it almost daily over a period of five months and it was 100% waterproof. It has withstood the most severe tropical downpours as I have been cycling and remained completely dry inside. There have been no problems with cracking of the bag that one unfortunate reviewer reported. My bag remains like new.

For a waterproof biker backpack I'd say it only does part of it says on the tin: I've ridden through some proper down pours in it and my stuff has all remained lovely and dry (if I had a laptop say and wanted to ride with it I wouldn't be afraid to stick it in) however the breathable back just isn't. I use it for the commute to work - about 7 miles through hilly Cornwall - and only carry that which I will need for the day - change of clothes, lunch and occasionally a thin A4 file and even when it's not that warm outside I arrive with my back dripping. I have the red version but its still not overly visible when riding, especially in the evenings though I do find the bottle pockets a handy addition to a waterproof bag.

Generally a good back. Copes well with the erratic Cornish weather and I'll carry on using it regardless as its certainly better than havin to stop half way up a hill to fight with a rain cover in a downpour that only last 1 minute! (But is that type of rain that will still manage to soak through the dry change of clothes your carrying!)

If it had a free flow mesh back and came in more highly visible colours it would be 5 stars!

At the beginning, I was very happy with the drybag, as it is light and protects properly from the rain. However, after only two months of usage, the top of the bag, which is rolled up to close properly and other parts of the bag started having holes, the fabric obviously not having been thick enough. Too bad!
