My pre-teen daughter pleaded with me for months to let her get this. I had already lived through the Hama Bead phase and fancied having a "bead free" house. However in a weak moment I agreed to get it for her for Christmas and I have no regrets actually.
There is very little mess and you don't have the cascading bead experience that you get when your daughter leaves her Hama Bead creation lying about waiting for you to iron it. Aquabeads seem to do all that they claim to do and unlike other heavily advertised make-your-own kits I didn't have tears on Christmas day over a toy that did not live up to expectations. If your child likes to make things and has asked for Aquabeads I would say "Go for it!"

My 3 and 4 year old daughter had been going on about these for a long time. I thought these would have been much to hard for them to do, but have been pleasantly surprised. Unlike Hama they can do the creations from beginning to end which gives them a real sense of pride. As an adult my fingers are far too big and it's very fiddly! We have made some cracking 3D creations. Brilliant. :)

I found these Aqua beads very fun to play with. They are also very good because you don't have to iron them, you can just spray them to stick them together.
I think they are prettier than hama bead creations because hama beads melt flat when they are ironed. Aqua bead keep their shape when thy are sprayed and glued.
They are very easy to use and I recommend this toy to any child that enjoys making things.

Not happy
Not worth the money. my daughter loves making stuff, anything to do with art and she is normaly hooked, she said she likes them but never ever plays with them.

kids loved it!
My girls aged 5 & 3 loved this. It does need some supervision but overall aside from the odd dropped bead it was a really fun activity. I would recommend this.

Poor design and frustrating for children

Pretty good fun for the right age

terrible toy - don't buy.
This is a really bad toy it is fiddly, and rubbish and doesn't really work. The idea is to make a pattern with beads then fuse them together with water. Read more
