5.0 out of 5 stars An exceptionally rich and illuminating book 7 July 2010
Format:Hardcover
I adore this book both for the style of its presentation and its content. It is extremely readable and presents ideas very clearly. The diagrams and metaphors are simple and enlightening but the content rich.

I have been practising acupuncture for several years and this book has given me many 'light bulb' moments when something that I have struggled with suddenly falls into place. There are discussions between Jason Robertson and Dr Wang Ju-Yi that clarify particular points in more depth.

Interspersed with the theory and practical discussions are anecdotal stories told by Dr Wang Ju-Yi which bring the whole subject alive and put it in naturally within its cultural context. You are taken on a journey with a master, guided by a very knowledgable and enquiring apprentice. It is an absolute pleasure to read - beautifully written.

I cannot recommend it enough as a book that will inspire and illuminate, for both the student and experienced practitioner alike.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant book 1 Dec 2013

Unlike many books about Chinese medicine this book is very clear and easy to understand, whilst at the same time describing sophisticated and complex theories. I would recommend it to any students looking to gain further knowledge in classical Chinese medicine.

5.0 out of 5 stars Essential reading for clinicians 24 Mar 2014
By keony74
Format:Hardcover
I am sure I wrote a review on this book in the past, but can't find it. This book is good enough to write another.
Dr wang Ju-Yi's understanding of acupuncture is at a very deep level. Jason Robertson has done a remarkable job in taking his knowledge and putting it into this textbook.
Simply put, this is the best clinical book on Chinese medicine. If you practice, study or are even interested in studying Acuuncture then buy it. Your patients will thank you.
