I decided to get a case for my Shuffle as I like to wear it in all weather conditions. This case really did make a great first impression when I unpacked it. It is well made with thick plastic and the orange border you can see in the pictures is a rubber seal used to make the case watertight. The fitting tolerances impressed me with everything fitting really snugly together. Aesthetically, the case looks superb in my view, mainly because it gives the Shuffle a more chunky reflective look due to the thick plastic along with with a dash of colour (orange).
The case opens up like a StarTrek communicator. You insert your Shuffle into it, and then close and lock the case using 2 tabs at either side. The case is marked with a green dot on either side which is revealed when the tabs are in the "locked" position.
This case offers admirable protection. I would not recommend you go swimming with this case, but it seems to protect the Shuffle completely from even the worst rain storm I have been out in.
The reason I have voted 4 stars instead of five is that I have concerns with the tabs used to close the case. These look like they could snap if handled very roughly. You also have to open the case to turn the Shuffle on and off, but this is minor and only takes a few seconds.
Overall, I am very happy with it.

My first impression of the iShuffle was that it was a fantastic bit of kit but I had concerns about losing the usb conection covering. As it happens, I've been fortunately proved wrong. But just to be extra sure, I decided to buy the sports case, to truly protect my investment. And I reckon it's just about worth it. Nicely built but it does have one drawback, notably that you have to take it out of the case to switch it on and off. Apple have cleverly designed the case so that the front controls can be used whilst the device is contained, but the rear switch is only accessible out of the case. Does this matter ? Probably not, but at least now you know.

Got an IPOD Shuffle? If so, you need this case. I had my shuffle for just under a month and after all the sweating I did using it at the gym, I actually rusted the USB port, which resulted in me getting a new one. This case keeps the IPOD Shuffle safe from all the elements, even rust!

It was hard to see from the picture what this case would be like - but it's well made as one would expect from Apple.
It is clear acrylic, and holds the shuffle nice and snug.
The neatest feature is the control wheel on the case, so you can still, well, control the shuffle on the move.
Its a bit expensive, but I can see why, its well made, well designed and comfortable to wear.

I got this with my iPod shuffle and have found that it is perfect for, well, anything. You control the fast-forward, rewind, voulume up/down and play/pause buttons using the buttons on the front. The case provides these rather than just making a hole for them, and you'll find that you don't have to press very hard and the buttons don't make that click sound. There's a hole in the top for plugging in your headphones, but you might find this difficult if you're not using the iPod headphones, so the case comes with a cable that means you can still listen with your own headphones.
To control the on/off and shuffle buttons on the back, you have to open the case, but this is really easy thanks to the little mechanism on the side. It's also easy to put the case back on again, and the shuffle itself won't fall out when you do this, a soothing point for when you're on top of a boat listening to music (like I was). Apart from a few minor scratches that were only visable in the light, my case has lasted very long and it also makes the shuffle virtually waterproof. It'll look great too, with the cool orange stripe round it and pretty lanyard.
While the price might be fairly high, I still advise you to get one.
Seriously advise you.
^_^

The ipod shuffle case is a brilliant idea you get to carry the amAzing ipod IN A SAFE and cool way. With the case you can practically go and do anything anywhere without having to worry about the little music player, its light, its portable, and its mint.

The case itself is well designed and looks stylish enough. In typical Apple fashion though it is designed to accompany other Apple gear ie, the headphone jack opening on the case only really fits the white apple headphones. If your headphone jack is set at a 90 degree angle (ie, Sony) then there is a major problem with this case - they simply will not fit properly. If you are happy to use Apple phones then you will rate the case better than me. Personally I am now waiting for my armband.
