Product Description

Manufacturer's Description

A thinner design. A brighter display. Up to 24 hours of battery life. Just about the only thing that hasn’t changed is the name. The 4GB iPod nano puts 1,000 songs in your pocket.(1)

Look like a rock star

Your music says a lot about you. So should your iPod nano. A super-slim design says you always have room for music — up to 1,000 songs, in fact. Durable anodized aluminum says you won’t let the rough and tumble of everyday life ruin your groove.

Carry a tune (or 1,000)

Choose a 4GB iPod nano and add a soundtrack to your life. Just use iTunes to import your CDs, shop for songs on the iTunes Store, then sync them to iPod nano. Possibly the world’s coolest photo album, iPod nano holds up to 12,500 snapshots.(2) iPod nano plays audiobooks and podcasts from the iTunes Store, too.

Play more encores
Imagine what you could do in a day. Fly around the world. Watch two sunsets. Listen to your iPod nano. Up to 24 hours of battery life(3) means the hits just keep on coming. Whether you’re exercising, commuting, or rocking a road trip, iPod nano may just outplay you.

Light up the stage

While it can't stop the rain, iPod nano might make your day a bit brighter. 40% brighter, to be exact. Album art pops and slideshows stun on the iPod nano’s dazzling display. That means everything looks as good as it sounds.

Go on tour

Add accessories and your music stays with you at home and on the go. Of course, iPod nano itself makes a great accessory. Wear up to 1,000 songs around your neck. Run with up to five days of skip-free music on your arm. iPod nano is the new black (and pink and blue and green and silver).

1. Song capacity based on 4 minutes per song and 128-Kbps AAC encoding; actual capacity varies by content. 1GB = 1 billion bytes; actual formatted capacity less.
2. Photo capacity based on iPod-viewable photos transferred from iTunes.
3. Up to 24 hours of battery life refers to music playback. Rechargeable batteries have a limited number of charge cycles and may eventually need to be replaced. Battery life and number of charge cycles vary by use and settings. See www.apple.com/batteries for more information.

What a fantastic machine- stylish, fun, useful and funky! This is my first iPod and I'm dead impressed with it. I was surprised how small and light it is for so much storage- I have got over 800 songs on it already and still have a good chunk of memory to use up! Looks like it will easily hold the 1,000 the spec's say. The green looks great and the whole player is completely polished down the menus, earphones and playlists. Plus, you've got all your album artwork on there, games like Music Quiz, a search function and photo storage. The only minor issue is getting used to the click-wheel- it can be very sensitive at first.

I fail to see how anybody could be unimpressed with the new Nano- simple to set up, easy to use, and excellent sound quality. Worth every penny. Make sure you get yourself a case though- you don't want it getting scratched!

Two years ago i swore that i would never trust an apple product again. My 40gb 3rd generation ipod had only lasted a year, due to poor battery and even worse customer support.

After searching for a new mp3 player for quite a while, apple announced the release of the 2nd generation of nano. I decided to investigate. I must say that my fears regarding apple have been silenced with this product.

As i work in a warehouse i needed a rugged and durable casing, which this version af the nano supplies in abundance. The nice thing is that it provides a soft finish, some makers provide a poor finish for more rugged builds.

I also wanted a longer lasting battery, my previous ipod lasting between 5-9 hours. This nano happily has lasted upto 22 hours per charge and that is constant use.

The excellent screen provides crystal clarity, showing your photos (if you use that option) clearly. The ipod as usual connects seemlessly to the itunes software and you are ready to go un under 10 minuets.

Overall i would say that i love my new ipod, the green finish really does pick up the light and look pretty cool. I did concider the blue version but in the end decided on the green. I would reccomend this for any new user to the mp3 player scene, or to someone who has the time to chop and change their music before work or commute etc.. as the 4gb memory may restrict your choices.

I bought this at the end of August, just before the new ones. I hate the new colours on the new ones and the shape is awful. SO glad I have this model. It is bright easy to use and looks great. Reccomend it to anyone. The battery life is really good and lasts ages. Even though it doesn't scratch, get case, I have the socks and they all look great. Do not get a case with a popper on the back becasue it dents them a bit. If you have any reasons why you think you shouldnt buy it, then, well, you should. Its great :]
