we never got the iphone. Amazon will not give us refund - shipping problem with seller not their problem!!!,
This review is from: Apple iPhone 3G Black, 16GB Locked to O2 (Electronics)
We never received this product from Amazon. We bought this through the website from a seller. When the package arrived there was no iphone in the box. We tried to get money back - neither the seller or Amazon will accept responsibility. It seems they just think it is our hard luck. The A to Z guarantee was useless. BE WARNED IF YOU BUY THROUGH A SELLER WITH AMAZON THEY WILL JUST WASH THEIR HANDS OF THE PROBLEM AND LEAVE YOU OUT OF POCKET. REMEMBER IT SEEMS THE SELLER IS ALWAYS RIGHT AND PROTECTED NOT THE CUSTOMERS!!!!

Brilliant phone but still some drawbacks,

The first thing I would suggest that you do when you get this phone is turn off the 3G. Although it's fantastic to use when you are actually using mail, internet, downloading apps etc, when you are not using it, it STILL drains the battery faster than anything I've ever known. There are some applications out there for the Iphone that allow you to change your settings depending upon your situation (e.g. silent, out and about, at work etc) which can save your precious battery power (I use Rock's apps). The other major downside is that the battery is fixed in the phone meaning when it dies, you'll basically need a new phone as you can't replace the battery. You can also get external batteries for it which i would suggest if you are a heavy user - i've got the Juicepack on mine.
The user interface is very slick and Apple have advertised this extensively. They are not wrong though, it's very easy to use as is the keyboard and it's very, very responsive. The Ipod is very easy to use and even when the phone is locked (oh by the way you can password protect access to the phone which is one thing I was initially concerned about) you can access the iphone functions without having to go through the procedure of unlocking it. I would always suggest opting for the 16Gb as you'd be surprised how quicky you fill the memory with podcasts, videos, music and applications. the camera is still a measly 2Mp but in reasonable conditions in and outdoors takes good quality photos. I was extremely releived to know that you can actually sync your Outlook calender with your Iphone as I used to use a windows mobile device. It will also sync your notes etc too. All in all a superb phone and worth the jump from windows mobile devices.

I have had mine for about 4 months now and I thought I would wait for a while before wrighting a review, this phone is amazing because new features are constantly being added via the app store and software upgrades, there is always something new every time I look on the app store and you will always find something that appeals to you.
I know that some people complain about things such as the lack of a video camera but after having around 5 Nokias and a couple of Samsungs in the post all with great cameras I can honestly say that I have not missed the video camera and the 2 megapixle camera that the iPhone does have is actualy very goood. Would recomend to any one that is willing to spend this much money on a phone!
