I got this case when I bought my iPad as I wanted to ensure my new purchase was protected.
The case has an unusual outer texture, and it does tend to show dirt and dust quite easily, however a wipe with a damp cloth or wet-wipe soon makes it as good as new.
Looks wise the case is nothing special, with only a muted Apple logo to identify it as an Apple product.
Ok, I guess I have covered my negative thoughts already so onto the positive...
The iPad is a very good fit into this, and fitting takes a bit of patience and care due the good fit. This excellent fit will serve you well though as I have never had my iPad even look like it's going to fall out.
The case has cutouts for all switches and sockets, and these line up perfectly. I have never had any problems accessing any of the functions.
The case can be used for four basic options, these are...
1. Closed for storing and protecting the iPad.
2. Fully open with the cover folded back, for easy holding.
3. Typing position, the lid fits into a latch allowing the iPad to sit at an angle for easy typing and viewing.
4. Viewing position, the lids fits into the latch but this time it stands vertically for easy viewing of films etc.
So it's a simple looking case that actually offers a good degree of flexibility.
In the last few months I have looked at other cases as I sometimes feel I'd like something better looking, but I have never found a case that I feel happy to switch to.
The main issue is that pretty much every case I look at is either too bulky or the iPad is not held as securely.
Bulkiness is my main concern, too many cases add too much weight and size to the iPad to be aesthetically pleasing.
So it would appear that Apple came to their design for a reason, and it works.
In summary, it might not be the most beautiful case but bit wins in so many other factors.
If you have an iPad I would recommend this case.
