I've tried to follow the course , but the DVD was not working, due to a error in the DVD print phase. Amazon promptly changed it but , guess what, even in the replacement the DVD was not working . Received refund , check before to buy that the DVD problem has been resolved. without DVD it's a perfectly useless product.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not easy to follow 18 Oct 2011
By T. Franz - Published on
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I'm proficient in Final Cut 7, but found this tutorial difficult to follow. The speaker talks way too quickly and there isn't enough drilling to get the concepts into memory. Prefer the book tutorial method using a disc to do hands on work. There's no instructions on how to follow along with the video. They need to do a quick summary after the end of each video clip. I realize this is supposed to be an overview, but there just isn't enough substance to substantiate the cost.

I just purchased Final Cut Pro X by Diana Weynand and highly recommend buying this book instead.

In this software's advancing progress, this book is way behind the curve. There are 5-6 versions since it was published, save your money. The interface has changed since this version.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hilarious author gaff 26 Oct 2011

Haven't read the book yet... but no way this was written by the "Steve Martin" to whom they credit this book. Is this a joke or a not too bright key pounder that put the comedian's photo on this page?
